A 120 MegaWatt (MW) Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Project is being set up at Rukhiya.
This project will not only be financially and technically viable, it will also generate environmentally friendly electricity.
Thus, production cost will be reduced and electricity can be supplied to consumers at a lower cost.
Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd (TSECL) MD Debashish Sarkar told this in a press conference at TSECL’s corporate office on Monday.
He highlighted various details of the corporation and said that there are 3 power generation plants under the power corporation in Tripura, which are Baramura, Rukhia and Gomti power generation plants.
TSECL MD further said that electricity is being produced in 2 units in Baramura and Rukhia and one unit in Gomti for the last six months.
He said, “7 sub-stations with a capacity of 132 KV have been constructed so far and 2 more sub-stations will be commissioned by June 2023.Simultaneously, 25 new sub-stations of 33 KV capacity have been constructed and 9 more sub-stations will be commissioned by June this year”.
He also said that seven 132 KV and thirteen 33 KV sub-stations have been upgraded.
