Orientation Programme for newly converted English Medium Schools at Shiksha Bhawan, Agartala.
The education department has taken up a three-day program.
The programme is inaugurated by Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath in presence of Director of Elementary & Secondary Education, Director SCERT, Joint Director and District Education officers and other dignitaries.
Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that such a program is aimed at enhancing the skills of teachers in the new 130 schools which have converted from Bengali medium to English medium.
He said that till 2016, there were 128 English medium schools in the state. It has now increased to 256.
Already 29 schools have come under CBSE, said Minister Ratan Lal Nath.
The Education minister also said that such orientation programme would definitely help achieve the goal of quality education and capacity building among the teachers, for the interest of the students.
