Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is being celebrated across the country on the birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a symbol of the country’s sovereignty and unity.
To make his dream come true, we all have to work together to build a better India. Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath said this in his inaugural address at the State-wise Rashtriya Ekta Diwas swearing-in ceremony at Swami Vivekananda Maidan today.
Department of Youth Affairs and Sports organizes this oath taking ceremony. In his inaugural address, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was First Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of independent India.
After the independence of the country, he played an important role in uniting many small states of the country with the India to create the Indian unity i.e. the Indian Federation. In 2018, the central government erected the Statue of Unity at Sardar Patel’s Sane in Gujarat. Which is the tallest statue in the world.
The Agriculture Minister said that the central government started observing this day from 2014 to present his ideals, thoughts and philosophy to the present generation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has followed the path of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in his efforts to build Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat. Today we also have to take an oath to this goal.
