All eyes on West Tripura Lok Sabha seat

All eyes are on West Tripura Lok Sabha seat where former chief minister and BJP candidate Biplab Kumar Deb is set to take on Tripura Congress’ state president Asish Kumar Saha.

Tripura West Lok Sabha constituency is set to witness one of the high-profile contests in the 2024 elections.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) named former chief minister and Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb as candidate for West Tripura Parliamentary constituency.

Since entering the state as a candidate for the West Tripura Lok Sabha seat, Biplab Kumar Deb has been overwhelmed by the crowds at various rallies.


All the organizational meetings he has attended so far have seen record crowds of supporters. A record number of voters are leaving other parties and joining the BJP at various meetings.


On Tuesday, Former Chief Minister and West Tripura BJP Candidate Biplab Kumar Deb attended a bike rally in Mohanpur after completing an organizational meeting at  Town Hall.

A record number of youth participated in this rally. Candidate Biplab Kumar Deb was in the procession at the front of the bike rally. Overwhelmed by the crowd on both sides of the road, candidate Biplab Kumar Deb urged everyone’s blessings.

Also Ahead of Lok Sabha elections, the main Opposition Party in Tripura Tipra Motha joined the BJP government.

On the other side The Congress party fielded Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Ashish Kumar Saha from the West constituency.

Saha will contest against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate and former Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb.

The CPI-M-led Left Front on Sunday announced its candidate for the Tripura East Lok Sabha seat (ST) and decided to support the Congress in the other seat– Tripura West parliamentary constituency.
