A meeting of the Task Force was held at the Secretariat presided by Chief Secretary JK Sinha on the current status of Covid across Tripura on Thursday.
The meeting discussed the steps taken based on the decisions taken in the state-based task force meeting on July 11, 2022.
According to the decision of the meeting, priority is given on ensuring that the people of the state wear masks.
Necessary instructions have been given to the defense administration to crack down on non-wearing of masks.
A fine of Rs 200 was also discussed in the meeting for not wearing a mask.
Health Secretary Dr. Debashis Basu said that the IEC program will be organized statewide to make the people aware about the Covid restrictions.
He also said that from now on, regular monitoring will be done to see whether the Covid restrictions are being followed properly in public places or not.
Meanwhile, in the press conference on evening, Health Secretary Dr. Debashis Basu said that a total of 4,323 samples were tested on Thursday among which 382 reports were positive.
