Agartala, February 9: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to undertake a one-day visit to Tripura on February 20, ahead of the upcoming elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), according to BJP sources.

During his visit, Shah is scheduled to attend a key government programme highlighting various development initiatives undertaken by the Central government in the state.

He is also expected to chair an important meeting with the state BJP leadership to review organisational strategies and discuss preparations for the TTAADC elections.

Party leaders are likely to brief him on the current political situation and campaign plans.
The visit is being seen as significant in view of the upcoming TTAADC polls, with the BJP aiming to strengthen its position in the tribal council areas.
