The state government has decided to give 33 percent reservation for women in state government jobs.
A public meeting was held on Sunday to thank Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and the present state government for this.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today stressed that the state’s development is not possible without empowering women in the society equally.
The rally was organized by BJP’s Badharghat Mandal.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb was present. Mimi Majumdar, MLA from Badharghat Assembly constituency, Tinku Roy, Papia Dutta and others were also present.
The presence of a large number of women in this public meeting was also noticed.
He also conveyed his thanks to the local MLA Mimi Majumder, the office bearers of the constituency and all the functionaries for the historic Thanks giving meeting held at Badharghat on Sunday.
The locals of Badharghat Badharghat assembly constituency expressed their satisfaction for the people oriented budget for the protection of 33% women and building a self-reliant Tripura in the state.
