BSF APPREHENDED ONE MINOR WITH 800 YABA TABLETS

On 11th May 2019, on specific information, BSF troops of Border Out Post Rayermura, while performing duties at Indo-Bangladesh Border Fence gate, observed suspicious movement of one boy (with a bag) standing near border road junction of Village Fultoli.

BSF party called that boy, during search of his bag, BSF party recovered 800 Nos Yaba Tablets worth Rs. 4,00,000/- from his possession. During questioning, the boy revealed his identity as Sahil Bhuiya (age – 14 Years), S/o- Murad Hussain Bhuiya, Village – Matinagar (located ahead of Indo-Bangladesh Border Fence), PS – Amtali, Distt – Tripura West.

Seized items along with the apprehended boy handed over to PS Amtali.

BSF has been making all-out efforts to prevent all types of Trans-border crimes on the International Border, especially smuggling of Narcotics to make “Tripura – a Drug Free State”. Of late, smugglers have started exploiting teenagers and women folks for smuggling of Yaba tablets and other drugs, which is a matter of grave concern.

Hence, there is a requirement of participation of every walk of the society to create awareness about the Narcotic drugs among general public and help Security Forces in curbing the menace.
