The meeting of the state cabinet on Thursday decided to increase the salary of SPOs.

Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said this in a press conference organized at the Press Conference Hall of the Secretariat on Thursday evening.

He said that 3,911 SPOs of the state used to get a monthly salary of Rs 6,156.
As a result of the decision to increase the salary in the cabinet meeting, they will get a monthly salary of 7,079 rupees.

The ICA Minister said that it was decided to increase the salary of SPOs who are working as drivers in the Cabinet meeting.

Thus, 266 SPOs working as drivers will get a monthly salary of Rs. 9,000. Their increased pay will be effective from October.
