Congress leader P Chidambaram suffered a major setback Tuesday as the Delhi High Court dismissed his anticipatory bail in the INX Media scam, paving way for the investigating agencies, CBI and ED, to arrest him.

Hours after the rejection of P Chidambaram’s anticipatory bail application, a team of CBI reached his the Jor Bagh residence around 6.45 pm only to find he was not home.

Moments after the CBI’s team left the residence of the senior Congress leader, a team of Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials reached his residence to arrest him in the INX Media case.

Sources with the agency told India Today TV that they wanted to arrest P Chidambaram however he was untraceable.

Teams of both the agencies were still searching for Chidambaram however he was not arrested at the time of filing this story.
