Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and ICA minister Sushanta Chowdhury inaugurated state conference of Tripura Electronics Media Society at Agartala Press Club on Sunday.

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday said media has a major role to play towards Neshamukta Tripura campaign of the state government.

In a conference organised by Tripura Electronics Media Society, Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury gave a message to refrain from making news to materialize personal enmity and mislead people, as people are disturbed by it.

All these types of news have nothing to do with reality. Union State Minister Pratima Bhowmik, former Chief Minister and MLA Biplab Kumar Deb and Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Deepak Majumdar attended the conference.

In the conference on Sunday, Union State Minister Pratima Bhowmik said that The focus should be given on news instead of views. Reporters should correct their actions and perform better.

She added that reporters need to keep pace with the new era and stand as a person of the society.

On the other hand, the former chief minister of the state, Biplab Kumar Deb said that a person is not great, but his work is great. Everyone should work together in that direction. Biplab Kumar Deb urged everyone to come forward to build a beautiful Tripura with all the family members.

More than 200 representatives from various districts and sub-divisions of Tripura participated in the conference.
