CM Manik Saha launched Senior Citizen Helpline 14567

People are for people. We should extend our hand of cooperation and sympathy to the Divyangjans with this idea.

Besides, it is our moral duty to give social respect to disabled people. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said this while inaugurating National Helpline-14567 to provide advice and assistance to the 50 bed halfway home and senior citizens at Narsinghgarh on Monday, September 12.

In the event, the Chief Minister said that there are many people in the society who have various problems including physical, mental and other health issues. However, none of them are neglected in society.

He said that it is our duty to extend a helping hand to all these people. The Chief Minister said that it is not possible to cure mentally disturbed people only through medicines, as it also requires proper counseling.

He added that not taking or accepting people who have recovered from mental illness at home is a social degradation, which is not desirable at all.

This full-service halfway home is designed for people who are not rehomed after recovering from mental illness.

Not only this, the central and state governments are also working together to solve various problems of the senior citizens of the society.

A helpline has also been launched on Monday for senior citizens to voice their concerns.
The Chief Minister said that Divyanjans are also part of the society.
