CM Dr. Manik Saha pays surprise visit to IGM hospital in Agartala

The Chief Minister of Tripura paid a visit to IGM, one of the state referral hospitals in Agartala on Thursday to inspect its services.

During the visit, CM Saha had conversations with the on-duty doctors, medical staff, patients, and their family members.

After the visit, while speaking to the media, he stated that the current state government is making efforts to improve medical services in various hospitals across the state.

He said that to strengthen the public health system at the primary level, it is important to foster good relationships between patients and health workers.

During a visit to the IGM Hospital in the capital, the Chief Minister inspected various departments and found the overall service is satisfactory.

However, he directed the concerned authority to quickly resolve some issues. Notably, the Chief Minister visited the hospital following allegations of medical negligence that were reported in the media.
