A review meeting was held today in Chamber No. 2 of the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha regarding the preparations for the G-20 Science Conference to be held in Agartala on April 3-4.
The Chief Minister urged the concerned departments to work more sincerely and collectively to keep the reputation of the state intact by making the G-20 Science Conference an overall success.
The Chief Minister directed the concerned departments to make all the places visited by the G-20 delegates beautiful and attractive. Besides, the Chief Minister also emphasized on beautifying and keeping Agartala city clean.
In the meeting, Abhishek Chandra, secretary of the Department of Industry and Commerce, informed about the preparations for the G-20 conference, the main program of the G-20 science conference will be organized in the indoor exhibition hall of the international fair premises in Japan.
For that purpose the indoor exhibition hall is being decorated. The theme of this conference is ‘Clean Energy for a Greener Future’.
He said that the representatives of G-20 will arrive in the state on April 2, 2023 at noon. In the afternoon, the delegation will visit Elbert Ekka Park and Kumaritila Musical Fountain at Lichubagan. The first session of the conference ‘Science 20’ will begin at 9 am on April 3, 2023 at the Indoor Exhibition Hall of the International Fair Grounds. The second session will include opening of exhibition stalls, press conference and investor meet.
