Charilam, April 10: A “One Nation, One Election” awareness program was organized at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Class XII School in Charilam on Thursday evening. The event was hosted by the BJP Mandal and witnessed the presence of prominent leaders, including former Chief Minister and West Tripura Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb.
During his address, Deb criticized the CPIM and Congress, stating that these parties follow the ideologies of foreign leaders instead of prioritizing national icons. He emphasized the importance of embracing leadership rooted in Indian values and culture.
Charilam Mandal President Tapas Das, Janajati Morcha District President Kanu Raj Debbarma, and Mandal General Secretary Rajesh Debbarma also attended the program. The leaders collectively highlighted the benefits of implementing the “One Nation, One Election” system, asserting that it would significantly reduce government expenditure and allow for more effective public development initiatives.
