LAMPS and PACS are the key to the development of cooperative movement in the state. The upliftment of the socio-economic life of the people in cooperatives and rural areas depends on the development of LAMPS and PACS. Therefore, for the development of LAMPS and PACS, we must come out of old ideas and mentality.

For this we need realistic thinking in the current situation. Cooperation Minister Shukla Charan Noatia said this at the review meeting of Unakoti and North Districts of the Cooperation Department yesterday at the conference hall of Kumarghat Primary Marketing, Cooperative Society Limited. Sabhadhipati of Unakoti Zilla Parishad Amalendu Das was present in the meeting.

Speaking at the review meeting. Cooperation Minister Shukla Charan Noatia said that the review meeting of all the districts of the state will be completed after this meeting. From the meeting we are informed about the problems and potential aspects of LAMPS, PACS and primary marketing of Cooperation Department. In the next phase state level review meetings will be held to adopt new plans to strengthen the cooperative movement and help the rural masses.

He said that LAMPS and PACS should not only borrow from banks but also pay off bank loans on time. Similarly, LAMPS and PACS should come forward in production work. Cooperation Minister Shukla Charan Noatia also said that many LAMPS in the state are augmenting their income by supplying raw material for the products produced by Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission. He also urged the cooperatives to farther come forward.

Chairman of Kumarghat Primary Marketing Cooperative Society Limited Shibendra Ghosh, said in the review meeting, everyone should join hands to strengthen LAMPS and PACS financially. Officials of LAMPS and PACS of the two districts also gave their views in the review meeting. Registrar of Cooperative Societies Suithuifru Mog gave the welcome speech at the meeting.
