This government is working towards providing electricity connection to every house in the state. Deputy Chief Minister Yishnu Debbarma said this while inaugurating Vidyut Mohotsav at Muktdhara Auditorium in Agartala today as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mohotsav programme.
He also said that the demand for electricity in Tripura has increased more than before. The largest amount of money has been spent on the development of power systems in the state. He also said that electricity is the key to the future development of our state.
Therefore, the state’s electrical system is being developed in accordance with the rules through various agencies. Special emphasis has also been laid on increasing power generation. So now more electricity is being produced in this state than before. He also said that electricity is very necessary in daily life. Power outages affect our way of life.
So our job is to take the power system to a more modern level. That’s why the government is developing electricity services in various projects in the state as well as working to deliver this service to people’s doors. He said remote villages in Gondatuisa sub-division have also now been covered by electricity service.
Villages where no one thought electricity would ever reach. Our government has provided electricity to those villages under the scheme.
