The health department is going to start pharmacy shops in the state’s main hospitals GB and IGM and various government hospitals soon.

Patients can easily buy medicines from these pharmacy shops. This initiative will play an important role for patients.

Dr. Debashish Basu, Secretary of the Health Department gave this news in a press conference organized in the Secretariat on Tuesday.

The health secretary said that there is no deficiency in the commitment of the state government to protect the health of the people of the state.

He added that the campaign is underway all over the state with the aim of reaching as many health services as possible to people in remote areas.

He further said that a total of 52 surgeries have been done at AGMC and GBP Hospital through special surgical camps.

He also stated that installation of CCTV and installation of new CT scan machine is in progress at AGMC and GBP Hospitals.
