The Union Government has approved the Tripura government’s proposal to adopt a state emblem, Chief Minister Manik Saha announced on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) formally conveyed its approval in a letter dated January 7. The emblem is expected to play a pivotal role in showcasing Tripura’s rich cultural heritage and historical significance.
“The proposal of the state emblem of the government of Tripura has been examined in terms of Rule 4(2) of the State Emblem of India (Regulation of Use) Rules, 2007 (as amended in 2010) and has been found in order,” the letter stated.
The approval marks a significant milestone for Tripura, as the new emblem will symbolize the state’s unique identity and pride.
