IMD warns of intense heat and rising humidity in Tripura over the next three days

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for the next three days, predicting hot and humid conditions across Tripura. People are urged to avoid direct sunlight between 12 PM and 3 PM to minimize the risk of heat-related illnesses.

The sudden rise in temperatures has been attributed to a combination of factors, including cloudy skies, intense solar radiation, and the presence of hot westerly winds. This weather pattern is expected to push daytime temperatures to 36°C or higher in certain areas. Both maximum and minimum temperatures are anticipated to be 3°C to 4°C above normal levels.

Furthermore, the rising air temperature is expected to increase humidity in various parts of the state. While some districts have experienced rainfall, Agartala has not recorded any rainfall for the past three months, leading to unusual and extreme weather conditions in the region.
