In the last five financial years in the state, 3,203 people were given loans under different schemes of Tripura Scheduled Caste Cooperative Development Corporation Limited. The main objective of Tripura Schedule Castes Cooperative Development Corporation Limited is to make Scheduled Caste people financially self-reliant.
Bhagaban Chandra Das. Minister of Scheduled Caste Welfare Department, said this in a press conference held at the Secretariat yesterday. In the press conference, he presented the statistical data on the amount of loan disbursement, loan repayment and loan recovery to the beneficiaries through different schemes of Tripura Scheduled Caste Cooperative Development Corporation Limited. In the press conference, he said that in the financial year 2018-19, National Scheduled Castes and Development Corporation NSFDC, National Sanitation Workers Finance and Development Corporation NSKFDC and National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation have given loans to 204 beneficiaries to the tune of total 2 crore 94 lakh 59 thousand rupees.
In the fiscal year 2019-20, a total of 8 crore 8 thousand rupees has been given to 332 beneficiaries under NSFDC, NSKFDC and NHFDC schemes. In the financial year 2020-21, 9 crore 8 lakh 82 thousand rupees have been given to 384 beneficiaries under different schemes. In the financial year 2021-22, loans of 6 crore 46 lakh 26 thousand rupees have been given to 252 beneficiaries under different schemes. In the financial year 2022-23, a total of 8 crore 85 lakh 32 thousand rupees has been given to 2 thousand 31 beneficiaries till 21st of this month.
He also said that from the financial year 2018-19 to September 21 of the current month of the financial year 2022-23, 46 crores 68 lakhs 38 thousand rupees were paid to the national corporations.
