India records 3.32 lakh new cases, 2,263 deaths in a day

India today logged over 3.32 lakh new Covid cases, once again the highest-ever daily count recorded in the world, and 2,263 deaths since yesterday. The alarming surge has led to desperate calls for oxygen from some of India’s top hospitals.

As many as 2,263 new deaths were also recorded. The country has so far reported a total of 1,62,57,337 cases and 1,86,919 deaths.

India continues to lead the world in terms of average daily cases and now accounts for one in three cases reported every day.

76 more test positive in Tripura on Thrusday.

According to the daily Media Bulletin Out of 2359 samples tested for COVID-19, 76 people found POSITIVE.
