Indian Railways recruitment drive for the aspiring candidates

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) in Indian Railways has announced recruitments for various Ministerial and Isolated category posts. Eligible candidates can apply for 1,036 vacancies beginning from January 7 to February 6, 2025 by visiting the nearest RRB website or http://www.rrbapply.gov.in

The recruitment process, for RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories, offers positions such as Post Graduate Teachers, Scientific Supervisor, Trained Graduate Teachers, Chief Law Assistant, Public Prosecutor, Physical Training Instructor, Scientific Assistant, Junior Translator, Senior Publicity Inspector, Staff & Welfare Inspector, Librarian, Music Teacher, Primary Railway Teacher, Assistant Teacher, Laboratory Assistant and Lab Assistant Grade III. Applicants must have completed their 12th grade, graduation, or post-graduation, depending on the requirements of the posts. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. The maximum age limit varies based on the specific post, with the upper limit being 48 years.

The recruitment process for the Railway Recruitment Board Ministerial and Isolated Categories includes a single-stage Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by Skill Test depending upon the specific post. All the eligible candidates would have to undergo through these selection tests which will be conducted at different cities across the country.

The Indian Railways remains committed to its mission for empowering the nation’s youth through job creation. It may be noted that, Indian Railways recruited around 5 lakh employees during 2014-2024. While during the previous decade (2004-2014), only 4 lakh employees were recruited. This marks a 25% increase in employment provided by Indian Railways compared to the previous decade. The provision of new recruitment posts underscores the Railways dedication towards fostering economic growth, providing meaningful employment opportunities, and contributing to the nation’s progress. Indian Railways continues to serve as a pillar of national development, ensuring that every step forward brings new opportunities for citizens across the country.

Railway administration urges the eligible candidates to be cautious of job rackets, brokers and middlemen and should not fall into any kind of trap.
