Jishnu Dev Varma, who was serving as the Governor of Telangana, has been appointed as the new Governor of Maharashtra.

The appointment was made by the President of India, marking an important administrative change among the Governors of Indian states.

Jishnu Dev Varma, a senior political leader from Tripura and former Deputy Chief Minister of the state, had taken charge as the Governor of Telangana earlier. With this new decision, he will now assume the constitutional responsibility as the Governor of Maharashtra.
