Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiative has been take to connect the eight Nonheastem states with the capital city Delhi by rail. After becoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi prioritised development of the Northeast region, stated the Union minister of state for railways Raosaleb Danve at a press meet at State Guest House, Agartala.
He said, the Prime Minister had instructed all the Union ministers to visit 115 Aspirational districts of the country to take stock of the ongoing development works there. Accordingly he has come to visit Assam and Tripura. In Barpeta disinct of Assam he has interacted with the public representatives and enquired about the status of various development activities:
The Union minister of state for railways Raasaheh Danve said, he had reviewed various radway works going on in the state yesterday with the railway officials. He said, the central government is also willing to set up a multi-model transport through Bangladesh to save time in transportation of goods for Tripura.
He said, the work of Agartala-Akhaura rail link expected to be completed by December, 2022 and other works are progressing well. To complete different project works on time or before time he has instructed the milway officials, the Union minister of railways added.
On the other hand, Union minister of state for milways has also spoken to the chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb to discuss issues like improving rail network in the state, introduction of rail service between Agartala and Mumbai etc.
