Agartala, January 19, 2022: From 20th January, the 9pm night curfew will be start from 8pm onwards. For official notification the state government will issue a circular on it today.
In the Tuesday press conference, ICA Minister Sushanta Chowdhury updated the media regarding this exclusive decision of the cabinet.
He said that the present COVID situation in the state is worrisome. Monitoring the situation, we have taken this decision to start the curfew 1hrs in advance i.e, from 8pm onwards every day.
We have also taken some stern measure and decisions in the cabinet meeting today, all will be clarified in the public tomorrow issuing a circular from our side.
All the holy congregations and events that are going in the state have to be finished by 23rd of January.
Also, all the multiplexes, public places and parks, picnic spots, shopping malls would be closed until further orders.
All the fairs and exhibitions are also cancelled and prohibited now onwards. Moreover, it is decided by the cabinet that all the offices in the AMC zone would function with 50% employee cohort.
