Ahead of the upcoming general elections to the municipal and urban local bodies in the state, the Tripura State Election Commission has issued a notification regarding the preparation of electoral rolls for these areas.
According to the notification, the draft electoral roll will be published on October 1, 2026. Claims and objections to the draft roll can be submitted until October 8, while their disposal will be completed by October 12. The final electoral roll will be published on October 15, 2026.
The electoral roll for the municipal areas will initially be prepared on the basis of the electoral roll currently in force for the State Assembly elections.
The information was issued in a statement by the Tripura State Election Commission.
