Opposition in SriLanka united following the arrest of former Sri Lankan president RanilWickremesinghe.

Several opposition leaders accused the government of using the law to target political opponents, saying detention of Wickremesinghe was part of a broader effort to weaken democratic institutions and silence dissent.
