Agartala, July 29: Tipra Motha Supremo Pradyot Kishore Debbarma has announced strict action over allegations of irregularities in recruitment under the TTAADC, stating that any appointments found to have been made through corrupt practices would be cancelled.

In a video message shared on social media after a brief absence, Pradyot said a reform committee would be constituted to examine the recruitment process. “If the recruitment was carried out through irregularities, it will be cancelled,” he asserted.

Addressing several key issues, Pradyot also urged the Central Government to expedite the implementation of the Tiprasa Accord, reiterating the need to fulfil the commitments made under the agreement at the earliest.

Referring to the recent student movement, he announced his intention to work more closely with the youth, including members of Generation Z, saying he was inspired by their participation and aspirations.

Responding to criticism over his recent silence, Pradyot said he had “not sold out despite remaining silent,” and clarified that his absence from social media and party activities was due to health issues affecting both himself and his mother, Rajmata Bibhu Devi.

He added that because of their physical illness, he was unable to communicate regularly through social media or participate in party programmes over the past few days.
