The Office of the Returning Officer (RO) for 2 Tripura East (ST) parliamentary constituency is actively engaged in various preparatory activities to ensure a smooth and efficient electoral process.
Today intimating this through a Press Note Saju Vaheed A. Returning Officer for 2 Tripura East (ST) Parliamentary Constituency added that 424 Election Duty Certificates (EDC) with respect to Form 128 were exchanged in the EDC exchange facilitation center set up in the Conference Hall of the District Magistrate’s Office, Dhalai, Ambassa
On 21st April, 2024 101 voters in Essential service Category casted their votes in the Postal Voting Centre (PVC) for Absentee Voters in Essential Services Pertinent in mention here that total 185 voters submitted Form 120 for essential services Voting at the Postal Voting Centre will continue on April 22nd and 23rd 2024.
As on 4 pm of 21.04.2024, total 790 postal ballut has been casted at The Pontal Ballot Facilitation Centre (PSPC) for public servants involved in election duty in Dhalai district which is 76% of the total of 1043 such personnel. The Postal Ballot Facilitation Centre will continue on April 22nd and 23rd, 2024
A coordination meeting was conducted with Sub-Divisional Magistrales (SDMs), Block Development Officers (DOs), and other line departments by the District Magistrate & Collector, Dhalai. The meeting focused on ensuring Assured Minimum Facilities (AMP) such as ramps, drinking water, and waiting sheds at polling stations, making them more voter-friendly.
The second randomization for Micro Observers to be deployed in Thalai and Khowai Districts on polling day was conducted in the chamber of the Returning Officer. This process was carried out in the presence of the General Observer, contesting candidates/election agents, and representatives of registered political parties
A meeting is scheduled on April 22, 2024, at 5:00 PM with all contesting candidates, election agents, and representatives of registered political parties to discuss the worry list of candidates/political parties and providing instructions on the 72-hour protocol to be followed leading up to the election.
