Agartala, June 30: The road leading to Colonel Chowmuhani in the capital city of Agartala has remained in a severely damaged condition for a long time, causing significant inconvenience to commuters and residents alike. The deteriorating stretch has reportedly become a major safety concern, with minor and major accidents occurring almost on a daily basis.

Local residents have expressed strong resentment over the prolonged neglect of the road despite repeated complaints to the concerned authorities. They alleged that the pothole-ridden and uneven surface poses a serious risk to motorists, pedestrians, and schoolchildren using the route.

The residents have urged the authorities to take immediate steps to repair and renovate the road to prevent further accidents and ensure smooth movement of traffic. They warned that if prompt action is not taken, they may be compelled to launch a public agitation to press for their demands.
