Dr. B. R. Ambedkar struggled throughout his life for the development of backward people and bringing them to the light of education.
The present government is working for the development of the backward people in the direction shown by Dr. B R Ambedkar.
Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Bhagwan Chandra Das said this while inaugurating the Dr. BR Ambedkar Merit Award-2022 and one-time financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh for higher education in Agartala Town Hall on Wednesday.
This program is organized under the initiative of the Scheduled Caste Welfare Department.
At the awarding ceremony, the Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister said that the government is working on a specific plan to improve the education of Scheduled Caste students and the socio-economic status of Scheduled Caste people in Tripura.
An initiative has been taken to provide online special coaching in student residences to provide quality education. In the program, 14 Scheduled Caste students of the state got good results in secondary and higher secondary examination.
