Agartala, July 13: The Tripura Education (School) Department has announced the suspension of classes in all Government, Government-aided, and Private schools in West Tripura and Sepahijala districts on Monday (July 13) due to continuous heavy rainfall.

According to an urgent notification issued by the Director of the Education (School) Department, the decision has been taken in the interest of the safety of students as heavy rainfall is prevailing in both districts and is expected to continue for the next two to three hours.

The department has directed all concerned authorities to ensure that the information is disseminated immediately at all levels so that students, parents, and school authorities are informed without delay.

The order came into effect immediately for Monday, July 13, 2026.

Urgent Notice

In view of the heavy rainfall prevailing in West Tripura and Sepahijala districts, which is likely to continue for the next 2–3 hours, classes of all Government, Government-aided, and Private schools in West and Sepahijala Districts shall remain suspended for today, i.e. 13th July 2026, Monday, in the interest of the safety of students.
