Sports Minister inaugurates Atal Memorial knock out Football tournament-2023

Atal Smriti Knockout Football Competition-2023 started on Sunday at the 12th standard school ground in Fatikroy.

Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy inaugurated the competition. It may be noted that the Atal Smriti Knockout Football Competition is being held for the last few years under the initiative of Animal Resource Development Minister Sudhanshu Das.

Sudhanshu Das, Chairman of the Competition Committee and Minister of Animal Resources Development, hoisted the flag of the competition in the opening ceremony.

Inaugurating the competition, Sports Minister Tinku Roy said, “The state government has taken various steps to improve the quality of sports. For that purpose many fields have been newly constructed in the state. It also includes some synthetic turf football fields.”

The sports minister added, “An initiative has been taken to build a high-quality modern football field in Shantirbazar of South Tripura district. The government has also given priority to develop a sense of brotherhood among the youth through sports to get the youth out of addiction.”

Minister Sudhanshu Das delivered the welcome speech at the opening ceremony.
He said, the main purpose of this football competition is to strengthen unity among people.
