In the state cabinet meeting held on Wednesday, a wide-ranging discussion was done to remember the contribution of veteran freedom fighter and former state chief minister late Sachindra Lal Singh.
The cabinet decided to allot a type-four government accommodation in Agartala as per his wife’s plea.
Based on this decision, Mrs. Singh who currently lives in Faridabad, Haryana can enjoy this benefit for the rest of her life.
Notably, Late Sachindra Lal Singh’s contribution to build modern Tripura is undeniable.
Shachindra Lal Singh served as the Chief Minister of the state from 1 July 1963 to 1 November 1971.
His wife Smt. Lakshmi Singh does not have her own house in Agartala. Giving such benefits to the wife of a former Chief Minister can set an example in the state.
