The Supreme Court has ordered notices to the Jharkhand government and other respondents in connection with the alleged recruitment scam in the state.
The order was passed by a bench comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice V. Mohanan while hearing a petition filed by Harisharan Devgan seeking a CBI probe into alleged irregularities in appointments made through JPSC and JSSC.
The Jharkhand High Court has already stayed the state government’s decision to cancel the JPSC examination and has directed the state government to file its response by September 15th.
Meanwhile, student leader Devendra Nath Mahato has announced the launch of the JPSC-JSSC Recruitment System Reform Yatra from today, saying the campaign will cover all districts of Jharkhand and seek reforms in the recruitment process.
