In a gruesome incident on 05/11/2022 night one minor boy killed 4 (four) of his family members namely (1) Badal Debnath (70) (grandfather of the accused) (2) Samita Debnath (32) (mother) W/o Shri Haradhan Debnath (3) Suparna Debnath (10) (sister) D/o Shri Haradhan Debnath and (4) Rekha Deb (42) (relative) D/o Lt. Dhirendra Deb all of Durai Shivbari, under Kamalpur police station.

After commission of crime the accused buried all the victims’ body in a pit near the courtyard of the house of the accused and fled away.

After receiving the information police including Superintendent of Police, Dhalai reached at the spot.

Immediately police registered a specific case vide Kamalpur police station case No. 63/2022 U/S 302 IPC and started investigation.

During investigation of the case using scientific and technical aid police detained the accused person within few hours of the incident for further legal action.

Investigation is in progress to unearth the motive of the crime.
