Tension at madhavbari, 6 injured

At least six IPFT and INPT supporters sustained injuries including bullet shots during a clash with security forces at Madhavbari, when a group of IPFT and INPT supporters blockaded the highway in support of their Bandh against Citizenship Amendment Bill.

During the clash some local people also sustained minor injuries.

A large group of IPFT and INPT supporters staged picketing in support of their one day strike under the banner of North East Students Organization protesting the Citizenship Amendment Bill burnt tyres, ransacking some grocery shops, destroying shop items and blockading the roads at the headquarters of ADC in Khumwlung and Madhavbari area beside the national highway.

Bandh supporters burnt some vehicles and attacked some shop owners and pedestrians.
