Its time to overthrow Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls like the Congress was overthrown in 2014 general elections, said Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal while asserting that his party would defeat the ruling party at the Centre on all seven parliamentary seats in Delhi.
“We overthrew the corrupt Congress regime in the last general elections (2014). But even bigger goons are in power now. If they return to power, they would destroy our Constitution. The country needs us, once again. We have to be united again and overthrow this dictatorial central government,” Kejriwal told party workers during a meeting at his residence on Saturday.
Kejriwal was referring to the 2014 general elections in which Congress (UPA2) lost to NDA after an anti-graft campaign by him assisted by social worker Anna Hazare. Beginning Thursday, the AAP chief will hold Lok Sabha constituency-wise meetings of Delhi workers till January 16.
“You all have to work hard and ensure that the BJP loses in all seven seats in Delhi,” he said.
