TMC leaders defy COVID-19 norms, threatens Khowai police officials

Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee rushed to Agartala today, a day after his party alleged that its members had been injured after being attacked by members of Tripura’s ruling BJP.

The party had said that TMC leaders were arrested.

The leaders along with Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee rushed to Khowai police station to meet the supporters.

They leaders entered inside the police station premises and started arguing with the Officer in-Charge and Sub-divisional police officer.

The leaders not only threatened additional superintendent of police Rajib Sengupta, but also flouted the COVID-19 norm and tried to teach law to the police which is not welcoming amid the restriction in force.
