Agartala, May 30: Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister raised several key demands aimed at benefiting Tripura’s farming community during the Kharif Abhiyan Conference held in New Delhi.
Addressing the conference, the minister urged Union Agriculture Minister to provide additional assistance for the expansion of hybrid rice cultivation in the state. He also sought uninterrupted fertilizer supply and enhanced financial support for chemical inputs required in oil palm cultivation.
Highlighting the state’s agricultural progress, the minister stated that the scope of organic farming and hybrid rice cultivation in Tripura is expanding rapidly. He also drew the Centre’s attention to the need for continued advisory support from the to enhance potato production in the state.
The minister emphasized that these measures would significantly strengthen Tripura’s agricultural sector and improve the livelihoods of farmers across the state.
