Agartala, March 6: The important budget session of the state assembly is set to begin on March 13. Ahead of the session, a final preparatory meeting was held at the State Secretariat on Thursday to review the arrangements and finalize key aspects related to the budget.

Senior officials from various government departments were present at the meeting and discussed the necessary preparations for the upcoming session.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said that this year’s budget has been prepared with a focus on the overall development of the state.

He stated that special emphasis will be placed on strengthening infrastructure, improving the education and health sectors, and implementing various public welfare projects.

The minister also expressed hope that the upcoming budget would play a significant role in accelerating development across the state.
