Apart from the development of Agartala city, the state government has also given priority to the development of marginal areas of the state.

The government is determined to make Tripura the best it can be. Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha said this while inaugurating three projects of Agartala Smart City Mission in a function organized at MBB College Gate in Agartala today.

The three projects inaugurated today include improvement of MBB College Road from Math Chaumuhani to MBB College Gate in Agartala, installation of 11 KV LT underground power line from Math Chaumuhani to MBB College Gate and development of 3 reservoirs on the way to MBB College. 14 crore 55 lakh rupees have been spent for the implementation of these three projects.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister also said that the successful implementation of Prime Minister’s Act East policy is reflected in the three development projects inaugurated today under the Smart City Mission.

Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha praised former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb for these three projects implemented for the development of Agartala city.

He said that the method adopted for the improvement of MBB College Road from Math Choumuhani to MBB College Gate under the Smart City Mission will be kept as a model road and other roads in Agartala city will be developed in the same way.

The Chief Minister in his address highlighted the current status of various projects implemented under Smart City in Agartala city.

He said that drainage pump house and pipeline work for drainage at Masterpara and pump house and drainage system at Pratapgarh have been completed.

Besides, the Chief Minister said that the construction of pump house in Jaynagar is going on.
