Walk with Tiranga’ rally was organized by Information & Cultural Affairs department today under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign as a part of Azadi ku Amrit Mahotsav.
The rally started from Agartala Circuit House Mahatma Gandhi statue premises and ended at Ujjayanta Palace. The rally was inaugurated by Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha through cutting the ribbon Union Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment Pratima Bhowmik, former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Information & Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Choudhury along with other state cabinet members, administrative officials, NSS and Civil Defense Volunteers have participated in the rally
While speaking to the media, the Chief Minister called on every citizen of the state to celebrate ‘Har Ghar Tiranga from August 13-15 and to hoist the National Flag from their own home. He said, the Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is being celebrated to strengthen patriotism through paying tribute to the nation heroes and their sacrifices made for the country’s independence.
The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to Information & Cultural Affairs department for organizing the rally.
While speaking to the media, the ICA Minister said, the Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is being conducted to remember and pay tribute to those who have laid their lives for the nation and to those who are presently protecting our country’s borders. He said, target has been taken to hoist more than 5 lakh National Flags in the state under the campaign.
The Chief Minister and other dignitaries later flew 75 tri-colored balloons to the sky at Ujjayanta Palace premises and ended the rally
