Doctors saved a critically ill teenager from death by performing a complex surgery on her stomach tumor at GBP Hospital.
Members of two agencies rescued the girl from the Radhanagar Motorstand area in a critical condition and admitted her to the Agartala GB Hospital.
The girl was suffering from physical weakness and abdominal pain.
On August 21, 2022, the doctors of Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GBP Hospital started treatment of the girl.
Reports of tests at the hospital revealed a tumor in the girl’s abdomen. On September 7, a team of doctors led by Obstetrician and Gynecologist Dr. J L Vaidya of Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GBP Hospital successfully operated on the girl’s tumor.
Dr. Tapan Debbarma and Dr. Ranjit Reang, two anaesthesiologists were given the responsibility of anesthesia in order to induce anesthesia.
But the patient refused to undergo anaesthesia.
After the operation, she has been kept in the anesthesia ICU for five days. Currently the girl is healthy and normal.
