Tripura: Tipra Motha supremo called off 12 hrs Strike

Pradyot Kishore Debbarman, TIPRA Motha Chairman has called off the 12-hour strike on January 23 in Dhalai district.

Earlier this week TIPRA Motha called for this strike to protest against the brutal murder of Pranajit Namshudra, a party worker of TIPRA Motha.

Notably, 6 persons involved in this incident have been arrested. TIPRA Motha Chairman Pradyot Kishore Debbarman on Sunday said that there will be no strike on 23rd January in Surma and Kamalpur area through his social media platform.

He added that the auspicious day is the birthday of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and as a mark of respect such a protest cannot be allowed on that day.

Royal Scion Pradyot further said that all the 6 culprits have been apprehended in the murder of Pranajit Namashudra and strictest punishment and justice are expected.
