Agartala, July 13: In view of the continuous heavy rainfall across West Tripura district, the District Administration has issued a public advisory requesting people to avoid using the Katakhal embankment and the road stretching from Durgachowmuhani to the backside of Pragati Road until further notice.
West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar issued the advisory on Monday, stating that the affected routes have become unsafe due to the risk of embankment failure, waterlogging, and other rain-related hazards.
The administration has urged residents, commuters, and vehicle operators to use alternative routes and strictly follow the directions issued by the authorities. It has also appealed to the public to cooperate with the administration to ensure the safety of all during the ongoing spell of heavy rainfall.
The District Administration has advised citizens to remain alert, avoid unnecessary travel through vulnerable areas, and follow official updates until normal conditions are restored.
