West Tripura Police have arrested Rajesh Tripura, the owner of the YouTube channel ‘Tripura News 8’, on charges of forgery and fraud. The arrest took place on Friday night in the Tuichakma area.

Speaking on the issue the OC of West Agartala police station Paritosh Das said that, An individual named Himangshu Panchal, an executive and Tripura in-charge of ‘World Education Mission’, had filed complaint against Rajesh Tripura, who had defrauded him of Rs 9 lakhs by promising to help him purchase a large plot of land valued at Rs 9 crores in Bodhjung Nagar area .
