The annual dress allowance of the state police has been increased from Rs 7,500 to Rs 9,500. The monthly ration money of the state police has also been increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000. The cabinet meeting also decided to increase the annual dress allowance of TSR jawans from Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000. Moreover, the monthly ration money of TSR jawans has been increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000.

Food Minister Sushanta Chowdhury informed about this decision of the cabinet meeting at a press conference at the Secretariat today.

At the press conference, the Food Minister said that before Diwali, it was announced to increase the ration money of TSR jawans from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 and the annual dress allowance of TSR jawans from Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000. It was approved in today’s cabinet meeting. The Food Minister said that currently there are a total of 21,794 TSR and police personnel in the state.
