Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu visited the Rubber Board’s regional office in Agartala this morning.
When the Governor reached there, he was welcomed by Joint Rubber Production Commissioner.
Development Officer of the Rubber Board Arunabha Majumdar informed the Governor about the various programs of the Rubber Board. A documentary was also shown to the Governor in this regard.
Then the Governor visited the Rubber Board’s exhibition hall, regional research station, soil analysis laboratory etc.
Later, while talking to the media, the Governor said that Tripura is the second highest rubber producing state in the country after Kerala.
Rubber plays an important role in the development of the rural economy of Tripura.
